Description:
A
common cause of knee instability, usually caused by a significant twisting
trauma. After the early stages, pain is not typically a significant
problem in these cases. Swelling may continue for some time.
This
injury is very often a limiting factor to continuing high level sports
- and often requires an operation (although the results are not always
satisfactory). BioStim however, is an excellent way to maintain
strength in the hamstring and quadricep muscles (which need
to be as strong as possible to help brace the knee).
Placement
of Applicators:
One
electrode on either side of the knee (for pain relief).
