BICEPS
The biceps brachii is a muscle located on the upper arm. The biceps has several functions, the most important simply being to flex the elbow and to rotate the forearm. The biceps is tri-articulate, meaning it works across three joints. The most important of these functions is to flex the elbow and to rotate the forearm. The biceps brachii is arguably the best known muscle, as it lies fairly superficially, and is often well-defined even in non-athletes. The muscle is popular amongst bodybuilders, and can grow quite large through weight training. Placement of Applicators: Position (a) - exercises both biceps at the same time. Place the electrode across the line of the muscle, and adjust the positioning (higher or lower) for the strongest contraction. Position (b) - exercises one bicep at a time. Place electrodes on either side of the bicep, avoiding contact between electrodes and ensuring the tricep muscle group is not stimulated. List of precautions.
