HAMSTRINGS Position (a) - exercises one hamstring at a time. Place the electrodes across the line of the muscle, at least 15cm apart. Do not place the lower electrode too close to the knee joint, as there are nerves just below the skin which may be over-stimulated. Position (b) - exercises both hamstrings at the same time. Place the electrodes across the line of the muscle, approximately mid-way between the buttocks and the knee joint. The height of the electrodes will have to be adjusted to obtain the strongest contraction. List of precautions.
