Description:

Typically caused by an impact or fall. Usually quite painful in the early stages, and may continue to be painful for several weeks when coughing, laughing, sneezing, etc..

ELECTRODE POSITIONING BioStim™ can be used for extended periods to block the pain, and will not affect the depth of breathing - a problem that can arise if the excessive pain relieving medications are used.

Placement of Applicators:

One electrode on either side of the fracture. Electrodes must not be positioned in such a way that a straght line drawn from one electrode to the other (the line of current) goes through or near the heart.

BioStim™ can be used as often as required to ease symptoms.

Other Treatments:

Medically supervised treatment, deep breathing exercises with a ventilator (eg. 'Bird #7' Ventilator).
