Description:

Ulcers on the body surface result when inflamed and dying tissue breaks down, leaving a cavity. It has a number of causes, including prolonged pressure (from extended bed rest) and varicose veins (due to inadequate blood reaching the ankle/foot).

BioStim™ is well suited to the treatment of ulcers, as it relieves pain and promotes healing.

Placement of Applicators:

One electrode on either side of the ulcer.

Other Treatments:

UV Radiation, applied by a physiotherapist.
